I elected to post this preliminary sketch on Bill's blog this month. Due to other commitments the painting will not be completed till mid October. I will post the finished painting on my PAINTING IN OILS blog. I started working out my values with some thin oil washes. The lady has been relocated close to the corner of the building. I like the reflections in the glass and the weathered wood doors. The orange awning, pink purse, and shoes should give it a pop of color (REF PHOTO).

This is my April enty to Bill Guffey's Virtual Paintout blog site. I liked this image and thought it could make a nice painting, but did not like the background. My wife's first comment was the dogs head is to small. However the dogs head looks small in the Google reference photo.
